SURVIVAL
We survived using a how to survive book about the Amazon Rainforest, a large waterproof tarp, and our brains.
There are admittedly a lot of predators within the Amazon, such as jaguars and anacondas. However, jaguars are critically endangered, which allowed us to survive for an entire year in the rainforest without encountering one.
Anacondas are the largest snakes in the world, but if faced with humans they would choose to escape into water rather than attack; they were not a detriment to our survival. Many predators prefer to go after smaller and weaker targets, or were simply too rare for us to encounter. |
We mainly survived off of edible plants that the book had detailed for us, but we also ate whatever small animals we could catch with branches from trees that we sharpened with rocks. Our water sources came from the very plentiful rain, as well as drinking from somewhat contaminated water supplies in times of hardship when it was necessary for survival. If one of us were injured for some reason, we would find medicinal plants detailed within the book to help keep away infections.
